iCreatin’s 5-Port 10/100Mbps Desktop Switch With 4-Port PoE

The 5-Port 10/100Mbps Desktop Switch with 4-Port PoE provides a seamless network connection. It integrates 100Mbps Fast Ethernet and 10Mbps Ethernet network capabilities.

How This Product Works

Four of the Five Auto-Negotiation RJ45 ports of the switch support Power over Ethernet (PoE) function. These PoE ports can automatically detect and supply power with those IEEE 802.3af compliant Powered Devices (PDs). In this situation, the electrical power is transmitted along with data in one single cable allowing you to expand your network where there are no power lines or outlets, where you wish to fix devices such as APs, IP Cameras or IP Phones, etc.

Overload Arrangement

This item has the Overload protection function, which will help protect the system when the system power is overloaded. If all PoE PDs power consumption is greater than or equal to 65W, a priority will be arranged among the PoE ports, then the system will cut off the power of the lowest-priority port.

Easy To Use

This item is easy to install and use. It requires no configuration and installation. With desktop design, outstanding performance, and quality, this 5-Port 10/100Mbps Desktop Switch with 4-Port PoE is a great choice for expanding your home or office network.

Works perfect with my Huacam IP cams. Solid unit. If I had one complaint, it is that the mounting punch holes are TINY. I could not find ANY screw with a small enough head to slide in the slot to mount it. The slot just isn’t deep enough to get a screw head in the slot. I ended up opening the case and removing the metal around the punched area. Other than that one thing, this is a very nice unit. If you’re setting it on a shelf, the problem I described above will be of no concern to you. The POE switch is the TOP unit in the picture.

Great for connecting four high definition POE cameras, August 23, 2015

This review is from: iCreatin 5-port Active Ethernet POE Switch with 4 PoE ports, 10/100Mbps, IEEE802.3af, 65Watt (Electronics)
For the past month, I have powered four high definition internet cameras using this “active” POE switch. I selected this model because I have had positive experience with the iCreatin Wall Plug POE Injector. So, when I bought additional cameras, it was cheaper to buy this switch, compared to three more POE injectors. The Ethernet cords going to the cameras range from 20 feet to 75 feet. The cameras have been working fine, and the switch has not cut out connection or power, as far as I can tell. The switch is completely silent, and slightly warm to the touch. The casing is black metal, feels solid, and has two slots underneath for mounting to a wall or something. The first port is not POE, and I have it connected to a gigabit switch, where my Network Disk Recorder is also connected. This POE switch has been doing a great job at connecting four POE internet cameras, simultaneously.

We have 2 VOIP phones in an office, one for normal calls and another for conferences but only one ethernet jack that supported POE. This box was exactly what we needed to run both simultaneously. Before we would have to unplug one and plug in the other but no more!
