    21:9 Best budget option., January 9, 2016

This is an amazing budget widescreen productivity monitor. This is the first 21:9 aspect ration monitor I have purchased, though not the first I have checked out/used in person. I dont think I can ever go back to 16:9, not for gaming, and certainly not for productivity. The extra horizontal real estate makes such a difference for having multiple windows open/ active. It is an advantage for many games, as you can see more of the map. The color is great, and the 25″ size suits my needs perfectly. This monitor is not ideal if you really “need” a 120+ htz refresh rate for gaming, but for productivity, or any (semi)casual gamer this is, in my opinion, the best budget option for the 21:9 aspect ratio. I have had no issues with it. The bezel is very small, which is great for multiple monitor setups. Keep in mind, the power/navigation button (joystick) is on the bottom bezel, which might complicate things if you want to stack your monitor array vertically or anything like that. It is also worth noting that 2560×1080 is going to be more taxing on your gpu than 1960×1080 (duh), so you will see a slight decline in FPS in your more graphics intensive games.

I’ll probably be returning this for something else as the 1080p resolution on this monitor looks like garbage., January 4, 2016

Well, This monitor looks OK on windows (for the 10 seconds I booted into it), however it will not work on my Hackintosh. HDMI on OS X (which natively doesn’t exist) will max the output to 1080p. I was able to enable a hack to get it to 2560×1600, but it will not work natively. You need a monitor with displayport. I’ll probably be returning this for something else as the 1080p resolution on this monitor looks like garbage.
