Easy to build. Near impossible to get working., November 2, 2015

    First the good news:

    - The Raspberry Pi 2 that comes with this kit works great.
    - The case is of medium quality and would have been great, had I not needed to open it every 5 minutes to remove the LCD panel (see below). The small tabs on the end eventually broke off.
    - The LCD panel hardware is decent quality. Only 3 dead pixels. The software that is needed to make it work is terrible, frustrating… and mostly useless.

    The bad news:
    - The software drivers (separate download required) which are needed to operate the LCD appear to be for the older “Wheezy” release of Raspbian (the Raspberry Pi operating system). This wouldn’t be a problem, except for the fact that the current release is actually newer than “Wheezy” and is called “Jessie”. The barely adequate drivers for this LCD refuse to play well… and most of the time not at all… with Jessie.
    - The LCD will not operate (with Jessie) while a TV is plugged in via the HDMI port. It sits there mocking you with a brightly lit blank screen.
    - After the TV is unplugged and the Pi is restarted, the LCD will sometimes work… but most of the time it simply corrupts your entire system and turns your Pi into a giant clear plastic brick sitting on your table. This leaves you with a really bright LCD flashlight and not much else. To fix this: place the SD card back in your computer, reinstall the NOOBS software (downloaded from raspberrypi.org), remove LCD panel, plug in TV to HDMI port, plug in Pi and reinstall entire system. Wash, rinse, repeat for hours upon hours of wasted time.

I have ordered a different 3.5″ LCD screen (and case ) from another manufacturer and will update my review upon setting it up.

As commented by other reviewers the “driver” is actually a full operating system image that replaces whatever operating system you already have installed on your PI. The display is goofy as well – mine came crooked in a way that cannot be fixed and with a few dead pixels.

Great Device, only problem I had was that the tft screen can only be installed in a packaged image, would be nice if they released a separate driver to be installed after all of the configurations are done, the screen is too small to configure it with, also had no way to do dual output with the driver, it is tft or nothing. Other than the tft screen issues, the pi works flawlessly. The case is a little brittle, would not recommend it for long use. Looks like the tabs on it were cheesy and had 2 break off when I put it together, one was cracked when I took it out of the package. But it did go together ok and holds everything solid enough.
